Mind Prints was established in honour and as a celebration of a unique and gifted young man, who despite multiple hardships, overcame his restrictions and showed the world the beautiful expression of his mind, in absolute silence.

Dirkie Odendal was born prematurely and was classified with Aphasia, which is associated with loss of hearing and speech. At age 8 he was classified as a surrealistic line calligraphy artist. His drawings are both artistic and inspiring. He shared the way he sees the world through his drawings.  Mind Prints has been created as a platform to bring Dirkie's work to life.

Dirkie passed away on the 26th of June 2021, but his memory will live on in Mind Prints, forever.

Soul in a garment.  This line of clothing is a dedication to the Odendal legacy powered by Lucia Odendal but inspired by her beautiful son, Dirkie Odendal. The creative of this collection is the illustrations of his incredible heart and mind and Lucia took a few of his drawings and turned them into an exquisite print that you see in this range. This collection is created for the fuller voluptuous woman - every piece has taken the last year to craft, every dart, every panel ensured to shape the figure and enhance the femininity of a woman.

Through this line, Dirkie's heart will go on for many years to come.
